We've got your holiday show right here. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Festivus, look no further for Holiday Cheer. It's been awhile since we last did a show, so we spend a lot of time talking about what's been going on since then. This includes Heather's gall bladder removal, and much more. Aaron of The Big Show joins me once again and we discuss what's going on. Be sure to thank Aaron for not leaving you guys alone with me ;-). We discuss Games, TV Shows, the pains of submitting podcasts to both Apple and Microsoft, and Kevin's new tumblr account (thegeek.tumblr.com). The whole second half of the show is spent discussing upcoming movies over the next year. Listen to why Aaron hates the movies Kevin loves. During the second half, we are joined by Kevin's mother, Jan. We cover a lot of the same topics, discuss our Thanksgiving celebrations, and more talk about video games. Jason Tucker of Tuckertales joins me to "geek out," and boy do we. We geeked out so much that we couldn't fit it all into one show. We discuss quite a bit about Jason's approach to podcasting and his 4 shows. We settle the PC vs Mac debate (okay, not really), and both Jason and I agree that the WRT54GL running dd-wrt rocks! A little dash of Asterisk and MAME is thrown in for good measure. To provide feedback to Geek Week and A Geek and His wife, give a call to 206-203-5613. |

On this episode of Geek Week I interview Cecil Watson, the primary developer behind KnoppMyth. KnoppMyth is a Linux distribution that includes everything you need to turn a computer into a MythTV media center device. I have been using KnoppMyth for the past 2 years and have found myself wanting to know a bit more about the creator and the history of this awesome Linux distribution. So, I setup this interview with Cecil and being the nice guy that he is, he graciously accepted. To provide feedback to Geek Week and A Geek and His wife, give a call to 206-203-5613.
